Released at China's Guangzhou Motorshow, the official photos of the facelifted Hyundai Coupe show a significant change form the old car. While only the front and rear sections and the alloy wheels have changed, the outgoing Coupe's relatively short front overhangs give way to a much longer nose to create a sharper and much more aggressive look. Front lamps, thanks to the increased overhangs, are now larger and horizontal and wrap much further to the side fender, and the shoulder line now extends over the front wheelarches.

However, what sets apart the new coupe from the old is the aftermarket look-alike of the front and rear lamp graphics. With chrome details surrounded by black bezel housings, its evident that Hyundai is targeting this facelift for the younger consumers in the North American market. The Hyundai Coupe will continue its battle with the Scion TC in the US entry level sports coupe segment from the end of the year. The domestic and Asian region release will begin from August.
