The Jeep Renegade is the third of the Chrysler Group concept vehicle trio unveiled at the 2008 NAIAS. A contemporary interpretation of the quintessential Jeep, the Renegade concept is a back to basics recreational car for young people.

Green is more than just the color of the concept's exterior body panels. Powered by a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder 'range extender' Bluetec diesel mated to a lithium-ion battery pack, the Renegade is claimed to acheive an equivalent petroleum fuel ecnomy figure of 110mpg; bettering the figure of a conventional gasoline power source by four to five times.
