Maserati Quattroporte
With the current generation Quattroporte having been launched in 2004, Maserati's flagship sedan has undergone a mid-life cycle refresh before an all-new model arrives in 2012.
Changes to the Pininfarina design are subtle, with the Quattroporte gaining a new grille with vertical slats, reminiscent of the GranTurismo coupe. The front and rear light units have also been updated to include LEDs. Viewed in profile, the under-door molding is more noticeable, with a line that runs into that of the new bumpers, which have a wider protecti
ve band and more pronounced rear styling. The door mirrors are also new, with a more dynamic shape and a more streamlined mounting to the door.
The interior features a new center console and controls which are grouped more closely together for more convenient operation and two new shades of leather, Marrone Corniola (brown) and Sabbia (sand), will replace the beige offering previously in the range.
Power will continue to be sourced by a 4.2-liter V8 engine, while the Quattroporte S adopts the new 4.7-liter V8 recently introduced on the GranTurismo S. Both cars feature the 6-speed automatic transmission developed in association with ZF.
