Mitsubishi eK
While Europe hosts the debut of the latest Pajero, in Japan sales have begun of Mitsubishi's latest takes on the K-class city car, the eK Wagon and eK Sport. Main
changes over the outgoing model launched in 2001 include a power sliding door, as on the Toyota Porte and Peugeot 1007, and an extensive refit of cubby-holes for passenger paraphernalia.
Driving themes for the design were 'peace-of-mind', 'feel-good' and 'convenience', The Mitsubishi eK is available with either two- or four-wheel drive. Further attention has been paid to ease of customization, the seats configurable to owners' tastes. Unusually broad arches and a stubbed hood help define the exterior, while the interior features a tidy trio of rotary HVAC controls, a central binnacle, and deodorizing headlining.
