Rinspeed eXasis

After the Rinspeed zaZen's enormous holographic backlite, Rinspeed has found another way to increase the size of the DLO -by making the whole car translucent. Thus eXasis' open-wheeled cigar-shaped body is distinguished by transparent panels made of a 'high-tech plastic with a tinge of yellow paint.'

Despite the reduced visibility of the mass, kerb weight remains a more normal 750kg. Powering this is a supercharged two-cylinder 750cc engine producing an impressive 150PS. Fuelled by ethanol and supplied by Weber, it pushes the eXasis from 0-60mph in 4.8s. Other companies involved with the eXasis include Sharp, Swiss Auto and SC Schaefer. The Rinspeed eXasis will mark the company's 30th Anniversary when it is unveiled in Geneva next year. Key dimensions are: length 3700mm, width 1960mm, height 1284mm.
