Fiat Bravo
Fiat has launched its all-new Bravo in Rome, to replace its unsuccessful Stilo. Built in the Piedimonte S. Germano plant (Frosinone), the car shares most of its parts with the Lancia Delta, announced in Paris. The car represents the first vehicle completed under design chief Frank Stephenson and has been developed by the Fiat Style Centre, the exterior design of the model represents a step forward in the development of the brand's new ident
ity under Stephenson.
The five-door Fiat Bravo is 434cm long, 179cm wide and 149cm high, with a wheelbase of 2.6m. The Bravo will be the first model in the range with Fiat's new 1.4-litre turbocharged T-Jet petrol engine (120bhp or 150bhp). Other options include the popular turbodiesel 1.9 Multijets (120 and 150 bhp), and the 90 bhp 1.-litre petrol engine.
Fiat has also announced that the hood badge has again changed and that Bravo will be the first to sport it. The current blue laurel-bordered badge, in use since 1999, has been changed to a red, rectangular shield in use from 1931-1968.
