GMC Denali XT concept
General Motor's GMC truck division will be showing an all-new crew cab pickup concept at the Chicago Auto Show later this week. Dubbed the Denali XT, the concept truck takes a cue from Australian-market 'utes' and was designed and developed by the American giant's Holden division.
Built on GM's Zeta platform (the same platform that underpins the Holden Commodore) the four-door, five-passenger concept car/truck is meant to be a 'responsible' recreational vehicle, duly fitted with a hybrid powertrain. The 4.9-liter V8 engine is capable of running on E85 bioethanol fuel and is mated to a two-mode electric motor to create 326bhp while returning a claimed 32mpg.
For more information on the concept certain to take Chicago by storm, be sure to read our forthcoming Chicago Auto Show Highlights - complete with our informed opinions of the design and our exclusive hi-resolution images - appearing on your screens shortly.
