Lada C-Cross concept

OAW AvtoVAZ, Lada's parent company, revealed a new crossover concept at the Moscow International Motor Salon earlier this week. The Lada C-Cross concept is central to the Russian manufacturer's exhibition stand, which includes thirteen Lada production models and advanced designs.

As the name indicates, the C-Cross concept is a C-segment crossover that blends the design attributes of an hatchback and SUV, with a rugged off-road appearance demarcated by the brushed aluminum elements below the front and rear bumpers, around the foglights and taillamps and running along the bodyside. A sharp a line runs off the front wheelarch and above the door handles before intersecting with the rear lamp, and the concept also has a distinctive coupe roofline, reminiscent of Opel's Astra GTC.

AvtoVAZ, Russia's largest car manufacturer, claims the concept car 'meets global trends of this automobile class'. There is no word yet on when the company will decide to pursue full-scale production of the vehicle, but there is good indication that the Lada C-Cross could be produced in the next few years.
