Aston Martin unveiled a scale model of the new One-77 at the Geneva Motor Show today. The technical showcase was on display alongside Chassis no.1 in an effort to show off Aston Martin's engineering and design expertise. "We wanted to create something that wows you as much when you see what's under the skin as the exterior styling itself," Chris Porritt, One-77 program manager said.

These are the first images of the production version of the forthcoming Aston Martin Rapide, leaked months ahead of its anticipated debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Rapide, set to join the ranks of imminent and illustrious sport sedans like the Lamborghini Estoque and Porsche Panamera, retains the design attributes of its concept precursor and adds additional details that will begin to trickle down to other models in the range.

The concept's proportions and dynamic attributes are exemplified in its characteristic Aston aesthetic: two-piece grille and stretched headlamp units with integrated LED strips. But the most unique attributes of the production design is the addition of a bold bone line, stretching from the front fender air vent through to the rear door, and the sweeping glass roof panel. At the rear, the production example is also instantly recognized by its bold and purposeful haunches, familiar taillamp design and integrated decklid spoiler.

Like the exterior, the interior is also expected to retain much of the concept's design details, which appeared very near production when we saw the vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2006. Speculation surrounding the new car's powerplant exposes further similarities to the concept car, which sourced power from a 6.0-liter V12 engine. It is expected to create 500bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque.

Since opening its first design studio last month, Marek Reichman and his team have been busy. Testament to this are the first impressions of Aston Martin Racing's new GT2 racing car, a new addition which will make Aston Martin the sole manufacturer to offer cars in every GT racing category.

Known as the Vantage GT2, the new car is based on the V8-engined Aston Martin Vantage road car but features a more aggressive (and vented) hood, an air intake recessed below the gaping grille, bulging wheel arches subtly concealing a wider track, and a slew of carbon fiber additions.

For the first time, Aston Martin Racing is designing this car to run on either standard race fuel or E85 bio-ethanol from the outset instead of adapting the car to run on the greener fuel as it did last year with the DBRS9.

Aston Martin has shown pictures of the next Bond car, the DBS. Based on the DB9, the DBS is more muscular and sits menacingly on polished 20" wheels. Additional inlets on the sill, hood and bumper also connect the car with the DBR9 racing car, their depth more powerfully planting the car on the road. The exterior is painted in unique "Casino Ice", with details including nickel-finished headlamps as previously executed on the Rapide concept in Detroit.

Inside, seats are trimmed with quilted suede and contrast stitching, the same material mixed with carbon-fibre on the steering wheel. Sitting 25mm lower than the DB9, the DBS also weighs 300kg less with power pushed to over 500PS. It will make its screen debut in the remake of Casino Royale in November. Naturally, the car's serial number is 007.
