Acura, Honda's luxury division, will introduce its 'Advanced Sports Car Concept' at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. According to Honda, this car is supposed to provide a close glimpse at the next generation Acura exotic sports car for a 2009 model that will fill the slot left vacant by the NSX.
For now, only this sketch has been released but it is obvious that the new car will not share much with its predecessor. The long dash-to-axle proportion, the bulge in the long hood and the side vents behind the front wheel appear to signify that the engine has been moved to the front of the car. There are still speculations whether Acura's Advanced Sports Car Concept will be propelled by a V8 engine or a by a V10.
