Ferrari has just released the latest photographs and information on the new Pininfarina-styled California retractable hard top convertible. These latest photos show the car with its top closed - a feat it is claimed to acheive in 14 seconds - and in Azzurro California livery, the color chosen for the legendary 1960s spider's appearance at the New York Auto Show in 1962.

Measuring 4560mm in length, 1900mm wide and with a 2700mm long wheelbase, the California has been aerodynamically designed to deliver significant downforce values. Performance is boosted through a new 7-speed dual clutch system and a new Launch Control button which ensures correct torque delivery and prevents tire spin during acceleration.

Ferrari claims the luggage capacity of the California '2+' is proof of the versatility of this latest addition to the range, with a 360-liter capacity when the roof is up and a 260-liter capacity when it is down. The trunk and cabin are linked, a Ferrari first, which allows for a choice of luggage configurations.
