Mazda Hakaze concept

The Mazda Hakaze is described as a compact crossover with a roadster feel, and has been designed and modelled in Germany in preparation for the Geneva Motor Show next month. Featuring ripples in the flanks that continue surface themes set by the Nagare, the Hakaze also has a body-color wrap-over at the rear that reminds of the LA show car.

About the same length as the Mazda 3, the Hakaze is wider and taller for a stronger stance, with a high H-point and generous glasshouse. Not only taking its inspiration from 'Nagare natural flow', the Hakaze is said to also refer to helicopters, speedboats and jetfighters that represent the 'human interface to fast movement through natural materials'. The Mazda Hakaze concept will be first seen in Switzerland, to further attest design director Laurens van den Acker's hand. Key dimensions for the Hakaze are: length 4420mm, width 1890mm, height 1560mm.
